    Yukimura Study Group

This class is for students who would like to learn more about the philosophy, aesthetics, and techniques of Yukimura style rope bondage.

We meet monthly and have three sections to the event.

First, we will have a viewing of Yukimura tying that focuses on a particular theme in his style of tying, followed by a short talk and discussion.

Second, we will review two basic ties (hands in front and gote)

Finally, for the second hour, we will have a group tying event where couples are free to tie and practice, get tips and refreshers, and explore the various topics discussed earlier.

The first hour covers the viewing and discussion, the second hour is the tying portion.

This event is open to singles or couples.

    Topics covered by month:

April: Shame play (hazukasii) and exposure

May: Using the nawa jiri (rope ends) for communication

June: Gags and blindfolds for increased sensation

July: Floor transitions and body movement

    August: Ties for erotic effect

    September: Bamboo and immobilization

We offer regular classes, workshops, intensives, and events to help build the LA rope and kinbaku community. We have brought Grandmaster Yukimura Haruki and rope master Akira Naka to Los Angeles to offer seminars and workshops.
